Budhism a reflection of kapila munis sankhya shathra
One of the narratives we often hear is that Buddhism existed before Hinduism. But to me, Buddhism seems like an imitation or adaptation of Kapila Muni’s *Sankhya* philosophy. The greatest contradiction, in my opinion, is that Buddhists do not believe in the soul (*Atman*), yet they believe in rebirth. The Buddha was born in Kapilavastu — which, as tradition says, was the residence of Sage Kapila, and the place was named in his honor. It is therefore possible that Siddhartha Gautama’s religion was deeply influenced by *Sankhya Shastra*.
